Producing a beef or pork product can be costly. And—as a manufacturer—you’re probably always looking for ways to cut costs, while maintaining, even improving, quality.

How to reduce cost in beef and pork formulations
1. Use less raw meat
Raw pork and beef for your food product is arguably the most expensive part of the formulation. When you use QExtend, you can replace raw meat material with QExtend in a 1:1 ratio, sometimes up to 20 to 25% of its initial quantity, and without affecting the quality of your end product. But QExtend is more affordable compared to the price of raw meat, while being a sustainable option.
2. Fewer price fluctuations
Unlike with raw meat ingredients, and particularly with pork and beef (two proteins that regularly fluctuate in their cost), QExtend prices fluctuate much less. That’s due mostly to how it’s made: by texturizing animal pork and beef proteins into texturized proteins using a patented process.
3. Increase raw material inventory
In some countries, meat is sometimes less available. When meat is harder to secure, the price will rise (which brings us back to point #2 above). But also, when you add QExtend and you use less meat (yet produce the same final yield), you’re slowly saving more extra raw, frozen beef and pork. Over time this will give you more flexibility with your raw materials, and help you be slightly less at the mercy of the meat market.
